In celebration of my grandmother’s retirement from teaching. Born in a mountain village in Jamaica, she immigrated to the States with her preacher husband, both uncertified and raising 4 kids. She started teaching in ‘85 and in ‘93 she received her Masters in Education with honors as my mom graduated medical school. She is a testament to pursuing your purpose no matter your birthplace or age. Love your teachers, no matter where they appear. You never know what road they took to get to your classroom.
